Care Club Foundation, Inc. was created to fill that gap by combining dependable childcare-style services with enrichment, mentorship, life skills development, and youth empowerment opportunities rooted in the organization’s CARE framework: Confidence, Affirmation, Relationships, and Expression. Located in the DMV area, CARE Club Foundation, Inc. provides a comprehensive youth development model designed to meet both the practical and developmental needs of children, youth, and families. The organization offers structured services including summer camp, before and after care, school transportation, and day camps during school holidays and closures, ensuring that families have access to safe, dependable, and supportive environments for their children. Beyond care and supervision, CARE Club Foundation, Inc. integrates intentional youth development programming into its service model through workshops, mentorship, group activities, and creative engagement opportunities that help young people build confidence, strengthen communication, develop healthy relationships, and express themselves in positive ways. This approach allows the organization to address not only the need for reliable childcare support, but also the broader need for environments that actively foster emotional growth, belonging, and personal development.

Care Club Foundation Inc. was founded by Aja Nelson and Angel Booker, two leaders brought together through their shared passion for serving youth and strengthening communities.

Our Story.
Aja and Angel first met while serving in leadership roles within the youth ministry at their church. In these roles, they mentored young people, guided youth leaders, and helped develop the next generation of mentors who would go on to pour into and lead others.
Beyond ministry, their relationship continued to grow as they worked together managing childcare businesses, serving families and supporting organizations throughout their communities. Through this work, they witnessed firsthand the challenges many young people and families face when searching for safe, supportive environments that nurture both personal and developmental growth.
Aja and Angel were raised in families deeply connected to child development and caregiving. Their upbringing instilled in them a natural understanding of the importance of mentorship, structure, and compassionate care in the lives of young people. Each of them independently opened and operated businesses focused on the growth and development of young people.
Over time, each woman followed her own path in creating opportunities for youth.
